R.E.M. played three nights of concerts at Stirling Castle, Stirling, Scotland. On July 19th – 21st, 1999, the events happened. No band this globally renowned had played Stirling Castle before.
These concerts were documented by directors, Deborah Hogan and Andy Cronk of lonely goat (lonelygoat.co.uk). The result was the documentary ‘A Stirling Performance’, which not only captures the concerts and interviews with the band but also gives a fun and affectionate insight into the Stirling of 1999.
